Tower Co. 2

Hook & Ladder Company 2 was organized in 1870. In 1965, the department received a Ward LaFrance 70-foot Hi-Ranger, which was intended for Snorkel 1 (Truck 1). However, the bays at Headquarters could not accommodate the apparatus. It was reassigned as Snorkel 2 at a brand new station at 235 East Jefferson Street. In 1982, Truck 2 reverted back to a tractor-drawn aerial. In 2006, a new Seagrave 95-foot Aerialscope was assigned as Tower 2. Today, Tower 2 shares quarters with Engine 5.
