Engine Co. 2
Engine 2 is one of the three original companies initially incorporated into the paid Louisville Fire Department in 1858. Engine 2 is housed at Fire Headquarters, which was built in 1937 at 1135 West Jefferson Street. It operated as a two-piece engine company from motorization to 1990, first with a wagon and then a Squrt. Engine 2 shares quarters with Truck 1 and Rescue 2.
