Engine Co. 7 - Disbanded
Engine 7 was dedicated in 1871 at 821 South Sixth Street in a beautiful new structure. It remained at the same location until 2009, when it was disbanded and closed as a result of budget cuts. At that time, their building had reportedly been the oldest continuously operating paid fire station in the United States. Rich in history and widely said to be haunted, it is hoped this building will one day become Louisville's fire museum.
