Engine Co. 17
Engine 17 was organized in 1896. In 1910, it relocated to a new facility built at 1824 Garland Avenue, which remains active today. This location has also served as Louisville’s Training Academy and Apparatus Repair Facility in the past. In 1990, the company became Squrt 17, after the two-piece engines were discontinued. In 2021, Louisville discontinued the use of the "Squrt" brand names, instead referring to the 2 remaining pumpers with elevated master streams simply as "engines."
