Engine Co. 12
Engine 12 went into service in 1884. It is one of several Louisville fire companies that have been relocated, disbanded, and deactivated multiple times, even briefly serving as an ARFF company at Standiford Field (Louisville International) before the Regional Airport Authority assumed those duties. Engine 12 was permanently activated in 1975 when a new firehouse was built at 4535 Manslick Road. From 2004 to 2009, it also served as a hazmat company.
