Engine Co. 3 - Disbanded

Engine Company 3 was organized in 1899 as Hose Co. 3 and was last housed at Fire Station Number 3 at 370 Merino Street near Rupp Arena in downtown Lexington. Engine 3 was disbanded in 1975 and for several years there was no Engine 3 on the Lexington's roster. The number was transferred in 1983 to the department's tanker truck which was housed at Station 1. Engine 3 was again placed out of service in 2011.
