Engine Co. 5

Engine Company 5 was organized in 1905 as Hose Co. 5 at their current firehouse at 300 Woodland Avenue in the newly annexed Chevy Chase neighborhood of Lexington. Station 5 was originally built for horse drawn apparatus and since 1966 has also housed Ladder 2. Engine 5 is known as the FireCats because of their proximity to the University of Kentucky campus.
