In 2003, Pleasure Ridge Park absorbed the former South Dixie fire district. In 2017, fire-based EMS was established. And in 2020, Pleasure Ridge Park absorbed the former Lake Dreamland fire district.
Today, Pleasure Ridge Park has over 100 career and part-time personnel who currently staff 6 active stations and a training center.
"PRP" has operated a large number of apparatus since its inception. Its fleet has consistently been fluid with multiple new purchases and regular reassignments under several numbering configurations, as well as graphics schemes.
In 2019, Station 7 (former South Dixie Station 1) was renumbered as Station 4, replacing the former Pleasure Ridge Park Station 4. The Station 7 designation is no longer an active station.
